Servings: 4
- 5 cloves garlic peeled and minced
- 2 tablespoons gochujang sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 lb. large prawns or jumbo shrimp thawed, deveined, and peeled*
Add the garlic, gochujang, vinegar, sesame oil, honey, and soy sauce to a large mixing bowl. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth.
Transfer the shrimp to the bowl with the marinade. Toss the shrimp until they are covered and let them marinate for 30 minutes to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Preheat the oven to broil and spread the marinated shrimp across a baking sheet so they are not touching.
Broil the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side. The shrimp are ready when they start to curl. Immediately remove the shrimp from the baking sheet so they don’t overcook.
Serve on their own or over rice.
- We used prawns and jumbo shrimp for this recipe. Both work.
