Stovetop Potpourri

To make stovetop potpourri, simmer whole spices, orange slices, pine, and cranberries in a pot all day long. It will make your house smell like the holidays!

Ingredients

  • 1 medium orange sliced
  • 3 sprigs of rosemary or pine
  • ½ cup frozen or fresh cranberries
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 4 cups water
  • Optional Ingredients
  • 2-3 drops of pine essential oil

Instructions

  • Add the orange slices, sprigs, cranberries, and whole cloves to a small saucepan.

  • Cover the ingredients with water and bring to a boil over high heat.
  • Turn the heat to low. Simmer for the desired amount of time, adding water as needed to ensure the water doesn’t dissolve. Be sure not to leave the simmering spices on the stove unattended.

Notes

  • We recommend using pine sprigs, but if you are unable to find pine, use rosemary and pine essential oil for optimal holiday scent.
  • As your water evaporates, feel free to add more to keep the delicious scent coming!
